WELCOME TO GREAT HOPE MINISTRIES

SERVING TO SAVE

Great Hope Ministries is an Ugandan indigenous Church based Organization committed to Evangelism, Education AND empowering the body of Christ to fulfill the great Commission. GHM was founded in 2004 and has been a great encouragement and linking agent to many ministries and organizations worldwide, connecting kingdom people to kingdom people, networking kingdom resources with kingdom needs.

MISSION GOALS

•    Evangelism:
GHM is committed to reaching the lost for Christ," As fishers of men, using all possible means, methods and skills."  The gospel is much more needed in this generation than ever before. As it was said by our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:4-7) and the Apostle Paul (II Timothy 3:1-5), this is the time for serious believers to be serious evangelists. Every day more people die without Christ, the global hope for earthly remedies to human problems overshadow Biblical reality, but the truth that people are harassed like ship without a shepherd. If you were asked what percentage is Christianity of the 7billion people in the world today what could you say? And how many of those many of your neighbors are looking for the Christ of the Bible? People have questions and are seeking for answers which only Jesus can provide through the church.
The missionary era which led the world revivals and Church planting movements are being taken up by earthly amusement coated with the name bible verses.

•    Education
Focusing on formal and non formal educational seeking to establish primary, Secondary and vocational skills training Schools. Education is being taken as a key global factor for development and indeed it is. But there is still much to be done for children to get adequate education since even the government cannot offer 100% of all educational requirements to the children. We have seen a number of Schools from place to place where children have no scholastic supplies, poor feeding at school and even back at home. While we advocate for education for all children we look beyond classroom teaching but all needs that enable a Child to study.

•    Empowerment
Empowering the body of Christ to fulfill the great Commission, empowering communities towards self sufficiency, and empowering leaders of the next generation. The Church is a refuge for people who in need. It plays a big role in providing home based care and services to the needy especially the sick, orphans, widows, elderly, Disabled, the economically poor and less privileged. Unfortunately the wide body of the Church though it is so committed to do what it is called for as followers of Christ and as ambassadors of Christ in the world, lack of skill and finances has crippled the efforts of the Church. This is where GHM feels the calling to intervene. We want to focus on helping grassroots community/church based organizations to set up management structures so that they can effectively achieve their intended goals. Having worked with a number of indigenous Church/Ministries in Uganda, and East Africa it came to my notice that many of the leaders lack basic resources and tool for effective services they have to offer.
Many pastors have asked me to help them write a constitution, or grant application, strategic plan or help on a ministry report. These are the only few things the Church need to learn to do on its own but because much time has been spent on devotional bible conferences the leaders have missed another vital aspect to help them in the management and implementation of their ministry programs.
Most western supporters have always fallen out with the organizations they support because of lack of a appropriate management systems. We want to equip the leaders by helping them to learn how and do what they are supposed to do.
